February News

The highlight of February was the meeting in Scarborough at Gallows Close. This was on the 10th of Feb.

ACT ran a environmental day with the team from Imperial College with the core aim of getting the people who were there doing some citizen science.

People got very involved testing the samples of (mostly sea) water they had brought and checking what was in the water. One group even brough a sample of their local tap water because they were interested to discover if the tap water from their tap upstairs was different to the tap water from the tap downstairs.

In addition to the local people Look North and radiow were on hand to watch the proceedings.

From this we hope a small group will start to test the water in the bay regularly to monitor the changes to the sea water over the year.
